Design is a creative problem-solving process that overlaps other disciplines such as engineering and applied arts.
Graphic design is the branch of design dealing with visual communication. It encapsulates several other artistic and professional disciplines such as visual arts and computing. While the techniques used in graphic design are most often than not the same, its applications can be as heterogeneous as digital interfaces and apparels.
Obviously, every branch has its own attributes and properties. Designing for print is anything but similar to designing for digital media. And that’s just one variable of the design equation.
