This side-by-side comparison always reminds me how tasteless and brute the american gaming market is, or at least how game covers portray it. The subtle, mysterious and profound original cover art was replaced with a mumbo-jumbo of poorly pasted bitmaps, most likely made using Microsoft Paint. Sorry American gamers, but you are not being taken seriously…

Games On Demand (no acronyms please, thanks) are finally here. OnLive gives us a glimpse of the future where we will be streaming all our games like we have been doing for videos in the past decade. No more installs and hardware upgrades since everything will be delivered straight from a remote server. Indeed the graphics might be sub-par as of now, but this is just the beginning.

A new Metal Gear?

Daisuke Ishiwatari is back in force with the first CD of “BlazBlue: Continuum Shift” OST !! This release includes some vocal versions of older tunes as well as new tracks corresponding to the two new characters and some specific match-ups. Enjoy one of the best video games soundtracks ever made !

158Kilopixels is a constant stream of original graphic updates (illustration, typography, cartoons…) about various topics, with a good intake of geekiness.

Definitely the best Pokemon game covers ever made. I love the black / white contrast and the legendaries are rather cool. This might get me back to Pokemon again.

There is a lot of cutting in the latest Kojima-labeled game…

The 3DS is here! And I have to admit that I dig the bottom half of the handlheld. And only the bottom half. I am still convinced that 3D gaming and motion controls are gimmicky, so I will be most likely skipping this iteration. Now if the Nintendo handheld is more powerful than the current PSP with the option to turn off 3D, it’s another story.
