The context
While the Mozilla browser is undoubtedly the application I use the most on my Mac (according to my Wakoopa profile it’s 630 hours in less than 1 year and half!), I was never impressed by the default Firefox icon (not even the latest iteration designed by the IconFactory: the globe is too glossy for my taste). This perpetual “visual discontent” has never ceased to be a source of inspiration for me. And yes, even my own icons failed to change this situation. Still, as long as there are customization freaks out there who don’t mind refreshing their docks every once in a while, I’ll continue exploring and making icons. This icon release also coincided voluntarily with Firefox fifth birthday, hence the dedication.
The concept
My first ever Firefox icon concept emphasized on speed and movement, with an aggressive looking fox flying swiftly over a globe. This time around, it’s the other side of the spectrum: a playful icon featuring a sleepy fox cub, lying carefree on a ball. This has more to do with my own lifestyle pace than with Firefox browsing speeds, which are good by current standards (although Chrome and Opera are faster according to benchmarks). Enjoy the download and keep in touch for later updates and additions.

Bonus
Due to popular demand on MacThemes, I have made a globe version of the Furfox icon. Thank you for your feedback everyone!
