Welcome to the Lab!

September 5, 2009 in Announcements 8 Comments

After slacking off for almost two years, I finally got around to starting a design blog. Banzai!
For a concise introduction, please refer to the About page. For those who would like to know a wee bit more about me, please read ahead.

I am a marketing grad’ student and freelance graphic designer based -currently- in France. I spend my time experimenting with ideas, shapes and colors. When I am not designing, I am more likely to be tweaking my mac, organizing my digital life, reading Japanese comics or doing my marketing homework.

KaishinLab is primarily a blog about design, secondarily a public ground for my experiments in graphic design.

This blog won’t thrive without your comments and reactions. If you like what I do, please drop a comment or two. Beside spam, anything goes. If you want to hire me, drop me a line using the contact form

Enjoy your stay and have a nice day!

FINALLY! You kept us waiting mate! you are WELCOME!
    Thx for flattering my ego…
PS: What you said about the website, applies word by word on your comment.

you are whitelisted. I am relieved

Master Yorgi is finally here. As sharp as ever, and I wouldn’t expect anything less from you.
I am working as hard as my time allows to fix everything and get the site public asap. And yes it is still 1.0 so there is a long way to go ^^ I will keep you posted about the whole process. Since I don’t have large chunks of free time, I prefer doing one 15 minutes tweak a day, until everything is smooth enough for going public.
Content wise, I am convinced you won’t be disappointed, as I have many side-projects for some time now that have been laying around. Now that I have a platform where I can experiment, I will get the creative wheels turning.

Rather than “showcasing” my works, I would like to share the background story behind each one, the design process, probably some theory, and most importantly include your ideas in a kaizen process. I’ll have very likely a private WIP section, where only members can go, and where all the design action will take place. The finished product will be showcased publicly in the end.

Concerning my comment, it was simply for testing purposes ^^. You got the login items yesterday, like everyone else, with only few hours of difference.

All that aside, I appreciate the fact that you took time to up an avatar, you helped me confirm that the avatar uploading works, and that’s what I really mean by being a beta tester: help me verify if everything works fine!

Finally, I LOVE your website! But I have something better: http://www.5in8ads.com

Yorgi, I’m gonna tell you something but don’t hate me. I clicked by mistake “Blacklist this IP” on your comment… please try to drop another comment to check that you are correctly whitelisted.
I am a beta webmaster, I know lol

Cheeeers! I was waiting for your feedback all along. But I am quite disapointed it is as positive as this… ^^° Kidding!
As a sidenote, now I have no major excuses for redesigning STB… or so do I? ^^

I am equally as proud to have you around here ^^. I will do my best to achieve the goals I stated in my about page. Not paying my bills, I mean the other objectives

  • http://www.kaishinlab.com Kaishin

Yes definitely. I am the first who commented though…
