Alfred Extension: Send Note to Yojimbo

Send note to Yojimbo extension

Even though Yojimbo comes with a fast and reliable quick entry panel, I thought it'd be more convenient to jot down quick notes using Alfred, so I wrote a tiny Applescript extension that allows you to do just that. Just type in the keyword (defaults to qn for quick note) followed by the body of your note, then hit return. A Growl notification should confirm that your note was successfully imported into Yojimbo.

Click the screenshot above to download the extension. For the theme used in the screenshot, check my previous post.

Azure: Alfred Theme

One of the reasons that held me off on using Alfred is its lackluster default themes. Fortunately, the paid upgrade comes with a decent theme editor that lets you customize the look at your heart's content.

I am currently using a custom dark theme that I would like to share with all of you Powerpack users. Click the screenshot below to download.

The Noun Project

The Noun Project, according to its founder Edward Boatman, collects, organizes and adds to the highly recognizable symbols that form the world's visual language, so we may share them in a fun and meaningful way.

The project boasts close to 600 free, monochrome symbols covering everything from road signs to keyboard special characters.

While not all the symbols are instantly recognizable, the project is a welcome effort to celebrate the universal language of symbols and help us improve our collective understanding of it.
